Job Overview
We are seeking experienced Food Safety & Hygiene Officers to join our team and help maintain the highest standards of food safety, hygiene, and quality across our fine-dining and quick service restaurant (QSR) operations in Khobar and Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. As a Food Safety & Hygiene Officer, you will play a critical role in implementing and monitoring food safety policies, ensuring compliance with Saudi Food and Drug Authority (SFDA) regulations, HACCP standards, and international food safety requirements. You will work closely with restaurant teams to strengthen food safety practices, conduct inspections, and deliver training programs that support operational excellence. Key Responsibilities
- Conduct routine audits and inspections of kitchens, storage areas, and dining facilities to ensure compliance with food safety and hygiene standards.
- Implement and monitor Food Safety Management Systems (FSMS) across restaurant operations.
- Verify HACCP plans and ensure compliance with SFDA regulations and local municipality requirements.
- Coordinate with Saudi Food and Drug Authority (SFDA) and relevant regulatory authorities.
- Deliver food safety, hygiene, and sanitation training programs for restaurant employees.
- Promote best practices in food handling, personal hygiene, and workplace safety.
- Identify food safety risks and implement corrective and preventive actions.
- Review supplier documentation and ensure incoming products meet quality and safety standards.
- Maintain accurate food safety records, audit reports, and compliance documentation.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives related to food quality and operational excellence.
Requirements & Qualifications
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Microbiology, or a related field.
Experience
- Minimum 5–6 years of experience in Food Safety, Quality Assurance, or Food Hygiene within the food & beverage (F&B) or hospitality industry.
- Candidates must currently be based in Saudi Arabia (Khobar or Riyadh).
