An urgent opportunity is available for a Senior Backend Engineer – Java Spring Boot Microservices to join a leading banking client in Abu Dhabi, UAE. This position is ideal for experienced backend software engineers with strong expertise in Java, cloud-native application development, and microservices architecture. The successful candidate will contribute to the design, development, and maintenance of secure, scalable, and high-performance banking applications.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain enterprise backend applications using Java and Spring Boot.
• Build and optimize scalable microservices architectures.
• Develop cloud-native applications on AWS.
• Implement secure authentication and authorization using IAM.
• Develop and maintain AWS Lambda functions and EKS deployments.
• Integrate AWS services including SNS, SQS, KMS, Secrets Manager, and ElastiCache.
• Develop event-driven solutions using Kafka.
• Design and optimize NoSQL database solutions.
• Create and execute unit tests using JUnit.
• Manage source code using GitHub repositories and version control best practices.
• Collaborate with architects, DevOps engineers, QA teams, and business stakeholders.
• Ensure application performance, scalability, security, and maintainability.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
• 5–10 years of professional backend development experience.
• Strong expertise in Java and Spring Boot.
• Experience building enterprise microservices architectures.
• Strong knowledge of AWS cloud-native development.
• Experience with AWS IAM Authentication.
• Hands-on experience with AWS Lambda and Amazon EKS.
• Experience using Amazon SNS, SQS, AWS KMS, Secrets Manager, and ElastiCache.
• Strong experience with JUnit testing.
• Experience integrating Apache Kafka.
• Knowledge of NoSQL databases.
• Experience managing GitHub repositories and version control workflows.
• Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Arabic Nationals only.
• Candidates must have a 0–30 day notice period.
