Job Overview
An exciting opportunity is available for an experienced Penetration Tester to join a growing cybersecurity team in Amman, Jordan. This role is ideal for cybersecurity professionals with hands-on experience in offensive security, vulnerability assessment, and penetration testing across web applications, APIs, mobile platforms, enterprise networks, cloud environments, Active Directory, and wireless infrastructure.
The successful candidate will conduct comprehensive security assessments, simulate real-world cyberattacks, identify security vulnerabilities, and provide actionable remediation recommendations. Key Responsibilities
- Conduct penetration testing for web applications, APIs, mobile applications (Android & iOS), enterprise networks, Active Directory, cloud platforms, and wireless environments.
- Perform vulnerability assessments and validate findings through manual exploitation.
- Execute security assessments aligned with OWASP standards and cybersecurity best practices.
- Assess mobile application security through reverse engineering, runtime analysis, and traffic interception.
- Prepare detailed technical reports with risk ratings and remediation recommendations.
- Validate remediation efforts following vulnerability fixes.
- Participate in Red Team engagements and security improvement initiatives.
- Collaborate with development and infrastructure teams to enhance organizational security posture.
- Stay current with emerging cybersecurity threats, attack techniques, and penetration testing methodologies.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
- 2–4 years of hands-on penetration testing experience.
- Strong understanding of networking, operating systems, Active Directory, and enterprise security.
- Experience performing Web, API, Mobile, Network, Cloud, and Active Directory security testing.
- Hands-on experience with:
- Burp Suite
- Nmap
- Nessus
- Metasploit
- MobSF
- Frida
- BloodHound
- Wireshark
- Kali Linux
- Similar penetration testing and security assessment tools
- Strong knowledge of:
- OWASP Top 10
- OWASP API Top 10
- OWASP Mobile Top 10
- OWASP Mobile Application Security Testing Guide (MASTG)
- MITRE ATT&CK Framework
- CVSS
- Experience with Python, PowerShell, or Bash scripting is an advantage.
- Professional cybersecurity certifications such as OSCP, OSWE, OSEP, PNPT, eCPPT, eMAPT, CEH Practical, or equivalent are highly preferred.
